Type: Tender perennial grown as tender annual 
Bloom season: Summer 
Color:  Patterned leaves with scalloped or ruffled edges. Each leaf can have several different colors, with zones, edges, or splashes in shades of red, pink, orange, yellow, and cream.  Pinch off the spikes of the pale blue flowers to promote more leafy growth. 
Height & Spread:  6 - 24 inches tall; 8 - 12 wide 
Cultivars: 'Rainbow Mixed' has broad, scalloped leaves in a variety of colors on 20 - inch tall plants. 
Site & Soil: Partial shade; average to moist, well-drained soil with added organic matter.
