Diabetic Retinopathy Pictures of How Diabetes Damages the Retina

What is diabetic retinopathy? Diabetic retinopathy is a disorder in which some of the tiny capillaries that nourish the retina leak fluid or blood that can damage the rod and cone cells. New capillaries then begin to form in the injured area, and these also interfere with vision. Diabetic retinopathy affects about 7 million Americans and causes blindness among about 7,000 each year. Unfortunately, there are few warning signs; the condition usually causes no symptoms until it is relatively advanced.
Nutrients That Are Essential For Diabetic Retinopathy

Vitamin A - 50,000 IU daily. (Needed for all eye disorders.)  If you are pregnant, don't exceed 10,000 IU daily.

Shark Cartilage (BeneFin) 1 gm per 15 lbs of weight daily, divided into 3 doses.  (To prevent or possibly halt the progression of the condition by inhibiting the growth of tiny blood vessels in the eye that contribute to vision loss.)

Nutrients  For Diabetes In General
